I have been working with physical therapies for 10 years now, I often use a multi therapy approach, whether you struggling with a health condition, have injuries, problem areas or just want to relax and de-stress; your treatments are tailored to suit your individual requirements.
As a qualified therapist specialising in oncology massage, I am aware of the needs of those who have gone through cancer treatment, such as adjusting for the risk of lymphoedema, fatigue, bruising, immunosuppression and the side effects of trauma to the body and spirit. For anyone currently undergoing cancer treatment I feel passionately that massage and reflexology can support you and aid you in managing some of the more common side effects, such as fatigue, nausea and neuropathy.
Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) is an award-winning reflexology technique which focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet. It is a gentle, effective method which has been researched and developed Sally Kay BSc(Hons) while working in Cancer Care. As a therapist I have found RLD to be effective for people with lymphoedema and auto-immune conditions where inflammation is underlying and the lymphatic system needs help to balance.
I have visited Aurora three times now over the last 4 weeks. After recently completing chemotherapy and radiotherapy I felt I needed some much-needed relaxation. From my first visit, Julie made me feel at ease, was welcoming and very professional. I have left my sessions with an overall sense of wellbeing.
